Today is Small Business Saturday, an international day encouraging people to support small and local businesses instead of hitting up all the usual high street and online shop… And with the Edinburgh Etsy Pop Up open for business this weekend, you can do your bit in helping the small start ups from the city and snap up some incredible handmade gifts at the same time!unnamed

Open today from 10 – 6 and closing tomorrow, Sunday 7th December (open at 12 noon) at 5pm, you can pop into our Rose Street store and discover products from our incredible local artists showcase. Everything you see is for sale and you wont be disappointed! We’re super excited to have Edinburgh based photographer Paul of Marrz Photo photograph the store to show it in all it’s glory before we sell out of everything. Edinburgh Etsy Pop Up Shop NOW OPEN! 5th – 7th December

The doors to the Edinburgh Etsy Pop Up Shop are now open! Based upstairs from the Made From Scotland shop at 115 Rose Street, Edinburgh’s greatest local artists and makers have come together to curate an extra special Christmas store which is open from the 5th to the 7th December.

With a vast array of handmade goods including clothing, jewellery, home-wear, prints and accessories, the collective has presented a creative and unique hot spot in the centre of the city which is bound to be bustling from start to finish. Everything in the shop is for sale including the furniture, the pieces used in the wall displays and even the handmade crates used in their extremely well decorated ‘Christmas tree’.  As each item is original and one of a kind, it’s certain you’re going to walk out with a gift that’s unique and extra special. Needless to say, the sooner you get down there the better – items are selling out already!

For £5 ladies can get a sultry mini make over using the salon’s fabulous range of Besame Cosmetics. And for only £10, Tina, Loretta or Jenny will create your ultimate pin up hair do for your night out! Gents are welcome too – an Elvis style quiff never goes out of fashion…

The team have previously held self funded craft parties and photography and SEO workshops to build the community and support local sellers from Edinburgh and Midlothian. With the team growing and supporting both new and established makers, it’s great to see the community come together and host such an exciting event showcasing their work. With such a wide and diverse variety of talents, it will be great to see what exciting new events will develop for them in the future.

With Saturday the 6th of December being Small Business Saturday, this is the perfect place to purchase Christmas presents, support local small businesses and shop small.
